The challenge with shipping salvaged and damaged cars is how to get them on the trailer if they don’t move. When buying from auctions like Copart & IAAI this is made possible due to a forklift.
With a help of a fork lift, cars that do not roll or steer can be loaded onto the auto transporters but it is important to realize that vehicles may get damaged. It is also important to realize that it is the responsibility of the customers to unload the vehicle upon delivery and if a forklift is not available a tow truck may need to be used at owner’s expense.
Auctions will not load all vehicles, if a car is too heavy or oversized a wrecker may be required.
